  If you are a student experiencing a barrier due to a disability, contact Student Accessibility Services (SAS) at your earliest convenience. SAS welcomes the opportunity to work with you in your journey toward your educational goals at Chemeketa.  A current 504/IEP is not needed to receive services.
   
• Advising Department Link:
  Contact an CHCC Advisor if you are interested in earning an Associate Degree at CHCC.  Remember, Summit does not award Associate Degrees and recommends that you meet with an CHCC Advisor to review requirements.    NOTE: Meeting with a CHCC Advisor does not fulfill the Summit requirement of per-term advising.
   
• Bookstore: 
  At Chemeketa, the majority of the textbooks required for the courses are imbedded into the cost of the course and do not require materials to be purchased outside of that.  Verify needed textbooks through Chemeketa's Bookstore or on your class syllabus.  Should you need to buy a book or other materials, there are many ways to do so! Other popular sites include Amazon, Chegg, and Book Finder.  Shop Around and use your Book Stipend wisely!
   
• Calendar:
  Learn the important dates for the school year, including closures and finals.|
   
• Campus Maps:
  If you have an in-person class, allow plenty of time to park and walk to your class!
   
• Career Services Department Link:
  This is a very useful service that is available to you if you are unsure of what you would like to do after you graduate from high school.
   
• Dates & Deadlines:
  Check your registration status in MyChemeketa for your specific date/time to register each term.
   
• Degree/Certificate Requirements:
  Your personal degree progress is available in your MyChemeketa account (use the 'What If' option to see requirements for programs of interest).  Credentials to launch your path to a bachelor's degree or professional career.
   
• Remote Learning Hub:
  The Remote Learning Hub is designed to help you navigate your online classes.
   
• Student Life:
  The Student Life Office is here to help you create a college experience, connect with friends, gain skills for employment and achieve your educational and personal goals
   
• Student Resources:
  CHCC has resources available, designed to help students meet their basic needs: essential resources needed on a daily/regular basis (including Food, Financial, andCounseling Services!).
   
• Transcript Services:
  Transcripts are a record of classes you’ve taken at Chemeketa and the grades you received in them. You may order official transcripts or view unofficial transcripts in MyChemeketa.
   
• Tutoring Services:
  Utilize the Tutoring Services at CCC to help you be successful in your college classes!

What is the difference between Hybrid and Remote classes?  Here are the descriptions for the types of courses at CCC.  With all courses, it is important that you select the type of course you are comfortable taking.  Also, make sure that you do not double book yourself - make sure that you are available for all scheduled (in-person and virtual) class meetings.

• In-person: Courses solely in-person at the days, times, and location listed (Salem, Yamhill, Polk...)
• Hybrid: Courses have online content as well as meet in-person at the days, times, and location listed (Salem, Yamhill, Polk...)
• Remote: Courses are held online with virtual lectures at the days/times listed (usually via Zoom)
• Online: Course is fully online - no in-person or virtual meetings

I keep getting Tuition Statements/Bills from the College - do I need to do anything?
Summit pays our Sponsorship directly to the college AFTER the first college drop date (during the first few weeks of the start of the term).  Students may receive a Tuition Statement/Bill from the college - these are automatically generated by the college for any student that has a balance due.  Student accounts WILL show a balance due until our payment is sent.  You can ignore this and any future statements AS LONG AS the amount does not exceed Summit’s Tuition Cap (this will generally only occur if you are taking extra classes at the college).

I am Waitlisted for a class - what do I need to do?
If you are on a waitlist for a course, it is CRUCIAL that you check your CHCC email TWICE A DAY!  Once you clear a waitlist, you will be notified via email and will have only 24-hours to take action, otherwise you will lose your spot!  Once you clear the waitlist, add your class(es) in your MyChemeketa account.  Make sure to send me an updated screenshot of your new schedule once the course(s) are added (see Sample CHCC Schedule Screenshot below in Helpful Documents).  Check out CHCC's Register for Classes webpage for more details.

When will I be able to see my classes in MyChemeketa/eLearn?
Classes are available no later than the first day of the term.

How do I get books from my classes?
MOST textbooks for CHCC courses are embedded into your course.  If not, you will purchase you books and other materials using your Book Stipend each term.  I recommend buying used or renting to save money.  Check out the Beginning of the Year Checklist on the main Early College page for links to help get you started.

I failed a class - how can I get it off my transcript?
Unfortunately, the failing grade will permanently show on your high school transcript and will be included in your high school GPA.  On the college transcript, you can retake the course in a subsequent term - once you successfully complete the course, the failing grade will be replaced with an R, which does not impact your GPA.
