FREE TriMet Summer Student Rider Pass
TriMet is removing transportation barriers for high school students, ages 14-19, all summer long with the TriMet Summer Pass. This free transit pass empowers students throughout the Portland area with greater access to jobs, education, social opportunities and a whole lot more. All students— regardless of their economic resources— are eligible. If you are currently receiving a transit benefit from the school, a pass will automatically be loaded to your Hop card. If you would like a pass, complete this form to get a Summer Pass from the school. It’s the one pass that offers free rides all summer long.

Clackamas Community College CTE Summer Camp
Clackamas Community College is excited to announce an opportunity for students to earn FREE college credit at Clackamas Community College for Summer 2026!
Career & Technical Education (CTE) Summer Camp is back! This year it will be held Monday August 10 through Thursday August 13, 2026 on the CCC Oregon City Campus. Camp is open to students who live or go to school in Clackamas County, and are entering grades 9-12 in fall 2026. There is no cost for CTE Summer Camp, and students will earn college credit for the courses they complete! Camp will be held on the Oregon City Campus.

Families are encouraged to attend an in-person at our Information Session on May 19, 2026 from 6-7:30pm at the Gregory Forum on the Oregon City Campus. High School Connections staff will be on hand to answer questions and assist students in registration on their own device or on a department laptop. Refreshments will be served.
CTE Summer BOLT Program
FREE College Classes for High School Students
Chemeketa is offering FREE college classes (including books) this summer term for current high school students grades 9-12 in our service district.
All classes will be offered in a complete online asynchronous format (meaning that all the course work will be completed online through Canvas). Free summer classes will be 5-week accelerated college course that will run from June 22-July 25. Students must be registered by June 19th in order to participate in this opportunity.
The course table available on their website outlines the course offerings for the summer. Students must register in the specific courses listed with the unique CRNs listed below in order for the course to be FREE.
CRNs will be posted May 19th, but students are able to complete the application process now for Summer 2026 in preparation.

NW Cyber Camp for Teens
NW Cyber Camp’s free weeklong camps for high school youth (rising 9th-12th Graders) will be offered in Eugene, Oregon City and Portland. Planning is underway for additional locations! These are day camps on a college campus, with lunch provided. Thank you to our host sites:

- University of Oregon, July 20 – 24, 2026
Students, you will need contact information for your parent/guardian and the email address of the STEM teacher who agreed to recommend you. Complete your application at this form.

Girls Who Code is excited to offer Pathways this summer from Monday, June 29th, through Friday, August 14th! This seven-week program is a free, flexible online learning opportunity for students who want to learn coding at their own pace.

- Participants will be able to explore coursework in five tracks throughout the program: Data Science + AI, Game Design, Web Development, Cybersecurity, and AI + Society.
- Beyond coding, students gain real-world insights through virtual Partner Events with leading tech organizations. They can also connect with peers through Girls Who Code’s private Discord community and join optional Student Hours for live support and collaboration.
- For students who participated in Pathways during 2025, this summer's program will offer new courses and virtual events, as well as the chance to explore coursework you may have missed previously!
- Pathways is open to high school girls and non-binary students of all experience levels, including rising 9th graders, graduating seniors, and returning participants. Check out our eligibility criteria for more information.
HECC Direct Admissions Youth Advisory Board
The Oregon Higher Education Coordinating Commission (HECC) is recruiting students to serve on the Direct Admissions Youth Advisory Board.
Students selected for the Youth Advisory Board will help HECC design Abriendo Puertas Oregon / Open Doors Oregon, the future statewide direct admissions program that will automatically connect eligible students with Oregon colleges and universities.
This is a paid opportunity where students can share their perspectives and help shape how the program works for students across the state.
Program Details
- 7-month term of service
- Virtual evening meetings once per month
- Up to 5 hours of participation per month
- $80 per hour stipend
- Accessibility supports available
Who should apply
- High school juniors and seniors
- Students in their first year after high school
- Students from across Oregon
- No minimum GPA requirement
- Students do not need to currently be applying to college
- Students of all leadership and experience levels are encouraged to apply
Students will help provide feedback on messaging, the student experience, and how the direct admissions process should work for future students.
The application closes March 31st.
After students submit the application, HECC will reach out to schedule a short, informal conversation to learn more about their interests and experiences. These conversations will be scheduled during the first week of April.

Northwest Youth Corps
Our Youth Programs are an exciting opportunity for teenagers aged 15-18 to build essential life and work skills that will set them up for future success! Participants dive into hands-on conservation projects, gaining valuable experience and practical skills. They also enjoy daily educational lessons, receive a stipend for their hard work, and may even earn school credit.

Lane Community College Summer CTE Camps
Need something to do this summer? Want to learn career technical skills? Check out one or more of Lane Community College’s summer early college camps. Your student will actively be participating in their future and it is all free!
2026 Camp Details
- These camps are only for Oregon middle and high school students (Ages 12-18).
- Camps are Monday-Thursday. Lane is closed on Fridays in the summer.
- Due to limited spots, students are not guaranteed a spot in any camp.
- Transportation is on your own. Parking is free at Lane and LTD buses come to our campus.
- Food and drinks are on your own.
- The camps have interest forms that must be filled out by a parent/guardian. Tell us which camp(s) your students prefer. Participants are selected through a lottery. We will notify the parent/guardian as soon as possible if your student is selected for a camp. You have 3 days to confirm their spot.
- A student can only attend one of the listed camps per summer.

West Point Summer Leaders Experience (SLE)
The United States Military Academy at West Point is excited to offer rising seniors (current juniors) the Summer Leaders Experience (SLE)—a rigorous five-day, overnight immersion led entirely by current West Point cadets.
SLE offers an authentic look at cadet life and challenges students academically, militarily, physically, and socially. Participants will experience:
- Hands-on academic workshops: Choose from 17 sessions taught by West Point faculty.
- Physical and military training: Army PT workouts, obstacle courses (indoor and outdoor), the Candidate Fitness Assessment (CFA), and more.
- Leadership and character development: Team-building exercises, the Leader Reaction Course, ethics discussions, and cadet-led activities.

Students can choose between three SLE sessions:
- Session 1: May 30 – June 3
- Session 2: June 5 – June 9
- Session 3: June 11 – June 15
Applications for SLE open on February 15, and selections will be made on a rolling basis starting March 15. When high school students submit this application, it also completes the first part of the West Point application process. Ideal candidates will demonstrate academic excellence, leadership within their community, and a readiness to take on physical challenges.
West Point provides scholarships to cover the $495 SLE fee and travel expenses for students with documented financial need.

L&C's precollege programs are excellent preparation for high school students aspiring to be writers, debaters, entrepreneurs, dramatists, health leaders, and data journalists. June 14-19, 2026 | Cottonwood Canyon State Park
Cottonwood Crossing Summer Institute (CCSI) is a week-long residential field studies program for high school students currently in grades 9-12. Participants choose from four course options where they learn about locally significant cultural or natural resources. Projects are led by EOU faculty, EOU Capstone students, and other regional professionals. Students earn 2 early-college credits through EOU’s Early College Initiatives program.
Deadline to register is May 15th or until filled.
Cost to attend: $350 (scholarships are available)

After a morning of classes, you'll get out there with daily activities such as hiking, floating the river, playing board games, touring an off-campus employer, hearing from industry experts, working in an on-campus lab or working on your class project.
College Scholarship: Students who complete the Summer Academy will each receive a $500 scholarship* to OSU-Cascades. The college scholarship can be applied toward tuition for the fall term immediately following graduation from high school.

More than 1,500 bowling centers around the globe provide 2 FREE Games of bowling each day to kids during the Spring and Summer. This program is designed by bowling centers to give back to the community and provide a safe, secure, and fun way for kids to spend time this summer.

Hatfield Futures @ PSU

Applications are open for Hatfield Futures!
Using the year 2050 to spark our collective imagination, Hatfield Futures invites teams of high-school students from across Oregon to envision Oregon’s future and generate proposals to address important social, environmental, and economic issues.
During a week-long summer camp (July 5 - 11, 2026) at Portland State University, teams will collaborate to craft their visions and proposals and then present to community leaders, elected officials, and other members of the community at the Hatfield Futures Showcase. The 2026 Showcase will take place on July 11, 2026. All lodging and food costs are covered and students will receive stipends for participating. Travel assistance is available.
A student from last year shared, “This program really helped me think about how I can do something to help Oregon and my community. Before starting a project to help seemed really out of reach and only something I could dream about but now it seems like a reality.”
Who should apply?
Any high-school student who:
- wants to bring their creative expression to help shape the future
- is passionate about social, economic, and environmental issues, equity, and justice
- is excited to share their ideas
- enjoys collaboration and has an interest in community engagement and activism
- would like to develop their leadership skills and wants their voice to be heard
What can I expect?
- Opportunities to explore futures thinking, collaborative problem-solving, and workshop
- your ideas
- At least one guide to support each team
- Meals and lodging costs are covered
- Stipend for individual participation
